Product Description
New AHD FOOTSTRAP SCREW - M6 x 30mm INOX POZI DRIVE and Washer - A4 Stainless Steel for 2020 onwards models.
This new screw is significantly stronger to take the extra loads that are being applied in modern Windsurfing and Windfoiling.
They are compatible with older boards, but check your holes are at least 23mm deep x 4mm dia before use as it is very important that you do not bottom out, as this can strip the thread or crack the deck block. If enlarging your holes for any reason, you must not drill through the deck blocks into the foam core.
It is not uncommon for some sanding dust and resin to be present in footsrtap screw holes (from every board maker), so always clear this from new boards and check older boards if fitting new screws or moving footstraps, where sand in the bottom of a hole represents a real risk to the both the thread and the integrity of the deck block.
We recommend only clearing such obstructions from your holes by a hand, using a drill marked to 22mm for AHD's to ensure you do not penetrate to the core.
